           This project will support Youth Service Bureau (YSB) five programs of CASA-Volunteers who advocate for abused and neglected children all across the state, TASC-Truancy reduction for children in grades K-5, FINS-juvenile delinquency prevention, Crossroads-diversion prevention for juveniles who have broken the law, and Options-Licensed outpatient adolescent mental health substance abuse treatment program. Last year YSB programs served over 2200 children and families in St. Tammany and Washington Parish. YSB programs also provides support groups to clients and families.

          The purpose of the funds is to support YSB five programs to keep the community safe and divert children away from school to prison pipeline. YSB goal every year is to serve more children and families than they year before.

What are the goals and objectives for achieving such purpose?
          YSB goal is to serve more than 2200 children and families in five programs. YSB will continue to work with partners in the community who refer children and families to us and continue working with court officials and school officials. Each program has its own assessments to determine the needs of the child and families. YSB is starting a new approve to helping families by utilizing a Two Generation approach by helping parent and child at the same time.
