Provide a summary of the project or program:
           • The Teche Center for the Arts is the primary artistic home, heart and soul of Breaux Bridge and St Martin Parish, featuring music, art, language and rich Cajun and Creole culture, people and history. The primary focus is centered on teaching children arts, music and Cajun French language.

• TCA is the only community cultural center in our Parish. The Cajun/Creole culture has an undeniable draw as we highlight our authentic people, food, music and culture! The Teche Center for the Arts fills a need to bring together and unify our unique slice of America right here in Cajun Country! And its serves as a place where tourist can see our culture in action! And this is an opportunity to capture and lift up our culture for all the generations that will come after us!

• MISSION: Teche Center for the Arts (TCA) is to be the principal cultural, arts, music, educational and historical center for the people and tourists of Breaux Bridge, Saint Martin Parish and south Louisiana. It is the first community cultural center for St. Martin Parish! The TCA features our unique Louisiana “culture in action” through five dimensions: Dancing & Playing MUSIC, Creating ART, Remembering & Honoring HISTORY, Laughing, Living, Learning and Loving through CAJUN/CREOLE CULTURE and through innovative EDUCATION with an emphasis on children.

• A HOME FOR TCA: For the purposes of carrying out the mission of TCA, the Board has purchased a building in downtown Breaux Bridge, LA located at 210 East Bridge Street. It was a historic building and former location of Dan/Jeff/Murph movie theater footsteps away from the Bayou Teche waterway and famous iconic “Breaux” bridge.

• BOARD OF DIRECTORS: A formal Board of Directors governed by official By-Laws has been established to carry out the mission of TCA.

• NON PROFIT STATUS: In 2018, TCA was designated by the IRS 501(c)(3) NON-PROFIT STATUS, identifying TCA as a public charity which allows for tax benefits for patrons.

• PARTNERS: The Board has established a relationship with Acadiana Center for the Arts in Lafayette, Louisiana and St. Martin Parish Tourist Commission who have provided guidance on programming and expanding our funding. Board members have applied and received several grants to assist with programming costs. We also have relationships with St. Martin Parish, City of Breaux Bridge, St. Martin School Board, St. Bernard School, AG Montessori School, Tiny Blessings Day Care and numerous businesses and individual investors. We have also partnered with First Lady Donna Edwards with her MAM initiative to elevate the arts in the state of Louisiana.

• MARKETING: TCA adds value by marketing our culture through many outlets including
- an active website techecenterforthearts.com.
o Highly engaged social media presence.
o A monthly digital newsletter, Talk of the Teche, is circulated to TCA supporters
o The Board has commissioned a custom promotion video to showcase TCA to prospective investors. TCA MARKETING VIDEO
o Living History Series
o Annual Fundraiser Promo Video
