           This project consists of the construction of a Warehouse, Drives, and Parking Areas for a new Administrative Building and Activity Center for the St Mary Center of Hope that was constructed by the Arc of St Mary near Centerville LA. This project is being constructed on property owned by the St Mary Center of Hope to replace its existing facility that is outdated and dilapidated. The Arc of St Mary has served parish families with special needs and mentally challenged members for over forty years and is presently operating from inadequate and unsatisfactory warehouse facilities that must be replaced.

What is the entity's public purpose, sought to be achieved through the use of state monies?
          The Arc of St Mary has serves St Mary Parish families with special needs and mentally challenged members for over forty years, including children and adults by providing care and training for self sufficiency.

What are the goals and objectives for achieving such purpose?
          The ARC provides full adult day care services including meal service and transportation, and for those who are able it provides opportunity to learn basic skills of boxing things, working with recyclables, and potting and care for plants. The center needs warehouse storage space for its various programs.

           The program is ongoing as its clients are generaly not able to function normally in society
