           This program aims to produce and distribute digital and TV educational and cultural media to promote Louisiana French and Cajun and Creole culture, including an animated series, a newsmagazine, a docu-series, and a digital platform for language learning and tourism promotion. The impacts include preserving our endangered Cajun and Creole culture and French language; strengthening curricula and teaching in our 46 French immersion schools; creating local jobs; and promoting tourism and economic development, especially in small town communities.

          The public purposes include preserving our endangered Cajun and Creole culture and French language; strengthening curricula and teaching in our 46 French immersion schools; creating local jobs and attracting new private investment to the State; and promoting tourism and economic development, especially in small town communities.

What are the goals and objectives for achieving such purpose?
          1) Producing dozens of episodes of high quality programs to educate the next generation on our language and culture and support our French immersion schools; 2) Promoting Louisiana’s culture to over 10 million viewers across the State and around the world; 3) Supporting the creation of 10 private sector jobs—the only State investment in French stimulating private economic activity and job creation; 4) Strengthening French’s future in Louisiana by creating new resources for practicing the language and inspiring thousands of viewers to keep the language alive; and 5) Attracting over $600,000 in new private investment and federal grant funding to the State.
