Provide a summary of the project or program:
OZONE, and all volunteer 501 (c)3 has 3 key initiatives: Education, Experiences, Enterprise. The requested NGO Funding would be divided amongst the 3 initiatives and invested in programs and needs that would result in immediate returns as well as contribute to continued growth in the future. Funds dedicated to EDUCATION would expand our existing OMG! (Ozone Music Gifting) program to include a free, full day workshop for high school students that would allow them to experience the multitude of opportunities in music. Morning round-robin style classes would introduce subjects such as songwriting, production, sound and stage, lighting and home studio recording. Afternoon would allow participants to attend more in-depth classes selected from the morning's introductory course. Lunch, performances and fun will be included! Adult education funding would be directed toward expenses of the various workshops (open to all ages) held during the Ozone Songwriter Festival. Music and music-related topics are presented including legal, economic and creative courses. Workshops are taught by local and nationally respected leaders in their respective fields. The educational efforts are not only to benefit individuals but to help grow a base to support the thriving musical hub that is part of our strategic plan. EXPERIENCES: OZONE Songwriter Festival provides arts and entertainment experiences for everyone involved. In 2024 there were 138 singer/songwriters from La. and 14 other states. Performers range from skilled amateurs to #1 chart topping writers, and we plan to increase that number to 150 in 2025 since we are expanding the number of locations and venues! In the past the Friday night showcase has featured performers including icons such as Jason Scheff (Chicago) Jonathan Cain (Journey) and Jim Peterik (Ides of March, Survivor) to name a few. We love connecting artists from across the spectrum at this weekend long event! The showcase is a ticketed event, but the rest of the weekend is free to the public. Money dedicated to the Festival would greatly help in expansion efforts involving talent acquisition, technical & production needs and go toward social media and website activities that promote artists, businesses, sponsors, the Foundation and the Festival and our state.
ENTERPRISE: In order for St Tammany, the region and our State to become nationally recognized as a regional center for songwriting, music education, production, performance excellence and innovation we need to get the word out! Our grass roots efforts have been productive, and we are gaining local and national attention, but we recognize that an increased PR and Marketing campaign is an important component to achieving our goals. Part of the funding would be dedicated to those efforts.
Our programs all have overlap in the initiatives, with our Songwriter Nights and the Songwriter Circles firmly rooted in all three initiatives. Nights feature local and regional artists performing original, self-written songs in an intimate setting. Audience members get up close and personal with the performers as they share their stories. Circles are monthly workshops held at several locations in the area at which artists can try out new material, co-write, share ideas and get feedback to further their craft development and gain confidence. Circles include 10–15-minute educational components taught by professionals. Funds would be used to promote these events, provide educational materials and in some cases cover artistic expenses. Nights benefits also reach the businesses at which they are held. Providing promotion and additional revenues for the venues.
OZONE's endeavors aim: provide significant artistic growth and opportunities for hobbyist and professionals; provide audiences with experiences/entertainment; and create regional economic development impact in the areas of education, business and tourism.

within the next ten years the Ozone Music Education Foundation and its' partners will have provided the necessary leadership & stewardship in establishing St. Tammany Parish, its surrounding metropolitan area, and the Gulf Coast as a regional center for songwriting, music education, production excellence and music performance.
These actions will embrace and celebrate humanity and economy! -Regroup all GOALS, to incorporate and integrate these new GOALS, while holding true to current
initiatives, such as:
*Organizational and process improvement for the Foundation
*Festivals and songwriter events, Education, and Gifting
-Create a maturity grading system of where we are in terms of each GOAL’s fulfillment (i.e., what is our current penetration level, or depth of achievement, within each GOAL – the “M” in “SMART”)
-Develop preliminary STRATEGIES to move forward on selected GOALS, as we view their relevance
