           The public purpose of James 1:27, Inc. will be to provide practical services to those in the community of Lake Charles, LA. that will promote a better quality of life to those who are in need and to give at risk young people strong role models to learn from.

The goals and objectives for achieving this purpose through James 1:27, Inc. are to assist at risk families and youth by providing practical assistance through the repair and restoration of family homes, food donations, and the teaching of a strong work ethic. These things will be accomplished by bi-quarterly community events and service projects that will involve volunteers and donations from those in our community. These volunteers will form teams to accomplish these goals. Our main goal is to unify those in our community to bring relief to the people around us, regardless of church denomination, financial status, or race.

          The public purpose of James 1:27, Inc. will be to provide practical services to those in the community of Lake Charles, LA. that will promote a better quality of life to those who are in need and to give at risk young people strong role models to learn from.

The service projects that James 1:27, Inc. hopes to accomplish are quarterly family home repairs (4 homes per year to begin with) for windividuals in the community that are in need of basic assistance. During these projects it is the hope of our corporation to partner with other local non-profits to encourage and teach young people the value of a strong work ethic and be role models for children with absent or not involved parents. These projects will be done by teams of volunteers that each have a specific job.
Repair Team: Carpentry, Lawn Care, Painting, Plumbing, Air Conditioning, and Electrical Repairs.
Cleaning Team: Both inside and outside home care.
Mechanic Team: Vehicle, Mower, Equipment repairs.
Hospitality Team: Stock Pantry, supply breakfast and lunch for workers.
Follow up Team: Check up on individuals monthly to continue assistance with any needs that can be met by the corporation and to encourage growth.
These service projects will be scheduled on Fridays and Saturdays and will last from 7am-5pm. We will also have a short time of prayer and a scripture message for the workers and individuals being helped.

In between these home renovations, our goal is to have other community wide events such as block parties, food donations, and partnering with our local homeless ministry to provide needs to our community. The monies provided by the state would bring help and hope to many individuals across Southwest Louisiana.
