           New World-Amin Scholarship and Award Foundation, Inc. (The Foundation)
A public nonprofit program to address the educational needs of: Single Moms, Single Dads, financially challenged/at risk undergraduate students.

The Foundation's principle and consistent partner is the "Zeta Iota Zeta Chapter” (Zeta Phi Beta Sorority,), which began in 1992.This partnership also brings direct access to the area schools and colleges; many members of this sorority are educators. Mentioned previously, The Foundation was funded with philanthropic support of Helen Amin. Mr. and Mrs. Amin match community donations annually; the Amin’s and the Zeta’s have matched donations from the community for more than 30 years to award scholarships. These donations are awarded to deserving high school students and to adult students seeking assistance as they pursue professional certifications. To this day, she continues to work to secure monies for The Foundation.

The Amin Award and Scholarship Foundation is seeking your financial support in the amount of $60,000.00 as the foundation continues to provide financial support for needy students and building repairs (2545 Midway Avenue Shreveport Louisiana).Scholarships 50% scholarships, 20%web page and internet,20% building repairs and 10%administrative..
The Amin Award and Scholarship Foundation began its’ program in 1992. To date, the foundation has given more than $365,000.00 to deserving high school students. In 2008, an undergraduate student asked The Foundation to consider helping graduate students who are experiencing financial hardship. The first post-secondary scholarship was awarded in years 2009-2010 in the amount of $2,500.00 each. As a result, graduate scholarships were included as part of the Amin Scholarship Foundation. Additionally, the foundation's board and director concluded that these awards/scholarships are contingent on the availability of the public funds generated yearly from pledges and donations.
The Amin and Awards program is governed by a board of directors. See attached list. Staffing includes volunteers assisting with daily office tasks, these volunteers are guided through these tasks by the Executive Director (volunteer) and a part-time program director.
Criteria for Award/Scholarships: Interested applicants must submit a scholarship application on the form provided by The Foundation, applicant must be high school graduate, adult seeking professional certification, and undergraduate student at an accredited college or university in pursuit of a Master's Degree., consideration is contingent on the applicants’ academic achievements, financial needs and community service rendered by the applicant. Scholarships are awarded annually. Award/Scholarship recipients must continue to attend classes and maintain a minimum 3.0 GPS.
Program Evaluation Tool:
The Qualitative Method Evaluation will provide New-World-Amin Scholarship and Award Foundation, Inc. (The Foundation) a deep understanding of program participants’ experiences, motivation, opinions, concerns, and so on. That is, those matters for which you need a conversation to really understand workforce readiness. The Foundation will implement the following process as an evaluation instrument for the scholarship program: 1. Semi -annual virtual focus meeting with award winners, Board members (Zeta and The Foundation) with one-to-one discussions.,2. Random polling of both current previous winners job readiness, 3. Bi-annually tracking of professional growth and performances using an interactive survey. 4.Annual personal interviews via “Zoom “with scholarship awardee. Finally, this information will be evaluated with the governing board and grantor with expressed desire for input to help strengthen the program.
