           HAMPCO mission is to serve as an anti- poverty entity on behalf of the people in Northeast Louisiana, providing human services to the indigent, neglected destitute, hungry, homeless, illiterate, unemployed, and underemployed. In an effort to promote its' mission HAMPCO channels state funds into the community by administering programs geared toward providing citizens with educational enhancements- tutorial, financial literacy, the nurturing of the "Arts with our youth enhancing the relationship between parents and their children, feeding the hungry and neglected destitute for our seniors and youth.

What is the entity's public purpose, sought to be achieved through the use of state monies?
          Hampco's mission is to educate, mentor and enhance socioeconomic and healthcare skills of persons through program initiatives and community partnerships; furthermore, our initiatives will improve the quality of life by the elimination of causes and consequences of health deficiencies in Northeast Louisiana Region.

What are the goals and objectives for achieving such purpose?
          HAMPCO Goals is to provide educational instruction and back to school supplies for our youth so that they may have the necessary knowledge/tools needed to accomplish the yearly goals required of them.

Teen mentoring programs would be offered to our youth ages 9 to 18 years, where topic will be addressed on social issues, as well as preparations on how to prepare for a job interview, promote self -esteem, by creating positive changes in their lives, which will in turn help to make positive changes within our community.

Leadership programs will target our high school students. This program will inform, motivate and increase awareness of selected high school sophomores through issue-oriented curriculum, field trips/excursions and interaction with community decision-makers. It enhances the leadership skills of young adults as it relates to education, health care, economic development, social development, and other community activities.

Hampco also offers two one thousand dollar scholarships to help further education to two deserving seniors which is chosen by community volunteers.

Financial Literacy education is offered to students as well as parents to equip them with the necessary tools to be able to make more informed and better choices financially for their life goals. Thereby, reducing the poverty rate in families in our communities.

Because of the health crisis that we have been facing today with social distancing, the above programs will be revised to administered them with social distancing, offering virtual classes on and providing lap tops to accomplish our goals.
