What is the entity's public purpose, sought to be achieved through the use of state monies?
          The Greater New Orleans Educational Television Foundation was founded in 1953 and is the licensee of WYES-TV (a non-commercial educational television station serving all of Southeast Louisiana). WYES desires to meet public service informational needs during times of emergency but in order to do so needs a reliable power source. A building generator will ensure that messaging and content can be disseminated without interruption.

What are the goals and objectives for achieving such purpose?
          A building generator will serve as a consistent power source during times of emergency thus allowing the station to continue disseminating information to southeast Louisiana. Once a reliable back-up power source is established, WYES can work directly with local offices of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness to provide bandwidth for their use in alerting to the general public or as another source for sending secure information directly to team members in the field during a crisis.

What is the proposed length of time estimated by the entity to accomplish the purpose?
           From the time that funding is secured, WYES will order the generator and arrange for delivery and installation within 12 months.
