What is the entity's public purpose, sought to be achieved through the use of state monies?
In 2009, the Cyber Innovation Center (CIC) was established in Northern Louisiana as part of a state and regional economic development strategy. The CIC was envisioned with a mission to create a knowledge-based workforce, establish and grow a regional technology sector, and diversify the region's economy. Since its creation, the CIC has collaborated with many regional partners to create the National Cyber Research Park (NCRP) in Bossier City. The NCRP provides a physical location for government, industry, and academia to collaborate, conduct leading research, and develop state-of-the-art technologies. The CIC also acts as a host facility, providing the necessary space and infrastructure for several technology programs that bring jobs to the region.

What are the goals and objectives for achieving such purpose?
In executing its mission, the CIC has attracted and partnered with several government, industry, and academic organizations. Several of these organizations have established research programs or secured federal technology services contracts to create technology jobs in Northern Louisiana. As the host facility for many of these programs, the CIC has provided the necessary building security, partnerships, and infrastructure. The required infrastructure includes back-up or redundant power options so that each of the programs can provide uninterrupted services across the nation, even in the event of a power failure. The CIC seeks to replace its current, aged uninterruptible power supply to maintain the level of service required for the technology programs and jobs brought to the region.

What is the proposed length of time estimated by the entity to accomplish the purpose?
           60 weeks
