Provide a summary of the project or program:
The 18th Ward is a nonprofit that builds community through high-quality, affordable sports and workforce development programming for youth and families from every neighborhood in New Orleans. During the 2024-2025 school year we created over 12,000 youth opportunities through sports and our jobs program. Our goal for 2025-2026 is to serve at least 20,000 youth ages 3-24 from all 17 wards in the city. With this funding we can increase our programming options and hire more young leaders. We plan to expand access to tennis in partnership with Dillard University and the University of New Orleans. We plan to expand our soccer programs in partnership with the United States Soccer Federation and Xavier University.
