Provide a summary of the project or program:
Fathers On A Mission (FOAM) proposes to increase its workforce development and readiness program, targeting fathers and father figures living below the poverty level and those in the A.L.I.C.E. population. These residents face persistent barriers to employment, mental wellness, and family stability. Funding will support the implementation of targeted workforce
development workshops, which serve as the first point of engagement and the foundation for all follow-up services.
These workshops build essential skills in résumé preparation, interview preparation, workplace communication, conflict resolution, and co-parenting. Participants also gain tools to manage stress and balance personal and professional responsibilities. This foundational learning opens the door to more intensive support, including individualized case management and long-term employment planning.
Following initial workshop engagement, licensed social workers and case managers assess participant needs and develop service plans to reduce barriers to employment, such as transportation, documentation, or lack of work history. FOAM partners with local employers and community agencies to provide job referrals and coaching designed to help participants not only get hired—but keep their jobs and grow in them.

Program Goals

1. Increase Employment and Job Readiness
FOAM connects fathers to career pathways by providing job readiness training, resume and interview preparation, and employment referrals. Key partnerships with local employers and referral partners, ensure access to job placement pipelines.
2. Strengthen Soft Skills and Workforce Behaviors
Workforce training focused on punctuality, accountability, communication, and conflict resolution—core competencies for long-term employment success.
3. Financial Stability Education
Fathers participate in financial literacy workshops covering topics like budgeting, credit repair, savings, and financial goal setting. Individualized coaching supports long-term money management and self-sufficiency.
4. Support Reentry and Second-Chance Employment
FOAM provides targeted services to formerly incarcerated fathers, helping them reintegrate into the workforce through resume assistance, referrals, and coordinated job placement services.
5. Address Employment Barriers
Case managers identify and help resolve critical barriers such as lack of transportation, unstable housing, mental health needs, and access to childcare. FOAM coordinates referrals to supportive services and ensures continuity of care. Assistance with obtaining documentation for work, temporary transportation, substance abuse resources, and other social determinants of life.

What is the entity's public purpose, sought to be achieved through the use of state monies?
          1) Increase the number of Fathers who are ready to work through successful completion of work force training including on the job work ethics/conflict resolution, resume building, interview skills training, and proper interview attire.
2) Increase health and wellness outcomes through educational workshops. This will lead to better social, emotional, and mental health as fathers deal with everyday life circumstances at home and on the job.
3) Increase the value of positive parenting. Reduce crime and violence. Fathers will develop/increase awareness about essential parenting and life skills—effective communication, co-parenting, and stress management. Increased positive parenting and involvement translate into stronger child outcomes in education, behavior, and emotional development while deepening family bonds.

What are the goals and objectives for achieving such purpose?
At least 75% of participants will demonstrate improved readiness for employment, based on knowledge gained
from our workforce development training. This will be shown through strengthened skills through mock
interviews, workplace communication and ethics practice, conflict resolution role playing, and appropriate
professional presentation which will result in increased employment securing and sustainability.
60% of participants will secure job interviews or employment placements within 90 days of completing the initial
training phase, supported by job referrals, employer engagement, and continued care coordination.
Over 70% of participants will report improved social and emotional wellness, as measured through post-workshop
self-assessments and case manager check-ins—demonstrating better coping strategies for managing stress at
home and in the workplace.
At least 65% of fathers will demonstrate increased parenting engagement, including improved communication
with co-parents, improved family involvement, and positive behavior modeling as recorded through participant
post-program assessments. This leads to better performance on the job and having a "why" I need to use conflict
resolution and the chain of command.

What is the proposed length of time estimated by the entity to accomplish the purpose?
