           The completion of said project would provide our VFW post would provide a wide array of avenues to assist our Veterans who are confined or admitted to the Veterans Medical Facility in Pineville, Louisiana. VFW Post 8852 provides visitations to veterans who are assign or live in the Nursing Home or admitted to hospital for medical treatments. Provided Bingo, Thanksgiving Dinners and Christmas presents for all veterans admitted to this facility.

What is the entity's public purpose, sought to be achieved through the use of state monies?
          The purpose of the Veterans of Foreign Wars is to service veterans, service members, and their families while also advocating for their rights and promoting patriotism and community service. VFW Post 8852 achieves this through the multiple community service programs such as various student recognition programs i.e., Voice of Democracy, Americanism, and Patriot's Pen programs and recognizing our local First Responders. Additionally, spearheads a voter registration drive, provides storm shelter for adjacent public schools, provide community feeding opportunities.

What are the goals and objectives for achieving such purpose?
          VFW Post 8852 continues to collaborate with local and state officials to foster cohesive community enrichment programs. Provide opportunities for our VA Medical Center Residents and Patients to improve their quality healthcare through, in-house Bingo games, Christmas gifts, and visitation. Additionally, we provide those Veterans with a Thanksgiving meal at our facility. Sponsors Health Fairs, Community Food/Clothing Drives, and Veterans educational assistance. Provides a safe-haven for local youth teaching life-skills and career development.
