What is the entity's public purpose, sought to be achieved through the use of state monies?
Parole Project's mission is to enhance public safety through effective advocacy, programming, and services for incarcerated and formerly incarcerated persons so that they may reach their full potential. We provide critical services to men and women returning from prison so that they can transition from tax burdens to taxpayers.
This funding supports our ability to provide transitional services to those leaving prison and returning to our neighborhoods. By doing so we help create safer communities and help our clients become good neighbors and good citizens.
The funds will support case management, skills training, behavioral health support, peer mentorship, job placement assistance, housing, and basic needs.
What are the goals and objectives for achieving such purpose?
Over 12 months we will provide 100 returning men and women who are returning to their communities with reentry support services including but not limited to:
Housing, mentoring, job placement assistance, mental health services, soft skills training, and community service opportunities, and ensure that their basic needs are met.
Our goal is for our clients to gain stable employment within 90 days after release and stable, permanent housing no later than six months to one year after release.
What is the proposed length of time estimated by the entity to accomplish the purpose?
12 months
