Provide a summary of the project or program:
           The project will entail the design and construction of an 8-lane tartan-turf track with field events and a grass practice field. Site improvements include track lighting, access drives, bleacher seating, hardscape improvements, stormwater retention system and perimeter fencing. The new Track will serve as an economic catalyst for an area- the Upper 9th Ward- which would greatly benefit from the type of boost this community asset would provide. The Track is a $6 M total project and has received wide-spread support from the local elected leadership, New Orleans Public Schools, School Board and community. 9th Ward Stadium Inc does not have any operating budget, nor expenditures at this time. Upon completion and usufruct of the stadium, the Orleans Parish School Board will assume full responsibility for the operating costs of the track.
