           OMA Club Job Placement Program: OMA Club is a volunteer-run Louisiana nonprofit providing job placement and recruiting services at no cost for people returning from prison, people seeking employment, and troubled youth in St. Martin Parish and Lafayette Parish. Candidates submit their name, phone number, and resume, and OMA Club sends their information to local companies that are hiring. The program also provides work-start support (work boots, required clothing, state ID and document fees, and transportation to interviews and first shifts) and mentorship, so newly placed workers can start and keep their jobs. Public purpose: reduce unemployment and recidivism and strengthen the local workforce in rural Acadiana by connecting second-chance job seekers with local employers.
