           Friends of the Historic Clinton High School was created to revitalize and reserve the historic preservation of Clinton High School and the surrounding area. Our funding request will allow us to hire professionals to:

1) Create a strategic plan to address the revitalization challenges that the facility faces with measurable quantitative and qualitative accountability metrics
2) Create a resource roadmap to identify and pursue realistic funding options for viable, effective, and actionable funding capital stack
3) Create and establish a viable organizational operation structure to manage and maintain the building's historic stature for the foreseeable future

What is the entity's public purpose, sought to be achieved through the use of state monies?
          Our purpose is to revitalize a portion of the State of Louisiana's history by revitalizing the historic Clinton High School and the surrounding area. This project is supported by Louisiana State Representative Roy Adams, State Senator Caleb Kleinpeter, and the community members of Clinton, Louisiana and surrounding areas.

What are the goals and objectives for achieving such purpose?
          The goal is to revitalize the schoolhouse which was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2005 because of its history as a milestone in education in East Feliciana Parish. Since the school is contributing to the National Register, it is eligible for state historic tax credits which could save 35% of the expenses. Our goals of the funding allocation we are requesting is to:

1) Create a strategic plan to revitalize the facility based on community feedback and financial feasibility
2) Create a long-term plan to provide financial stability to the organization to operate and maintain the facility without having to request for future State funding assistance
3) Create a resource roadmap for programming, initiatives, and service activities which can provide economic and quality of life benefits for the residents of Clinton, Louisiana and the surrounding areas
