§2720.7. Confidentiality
All proceedings governed by this Chapter shall be heard by the judge in chambers or
in a closed hearing, and no one shall be admitted to the hearings except the parties in interest,
their attorneys, and officers of the court. The court, in its discretion, may grant the request
of a petitioner to permit others to be present at the hearing. The court records of these
proceedings and the identities of the parties to a gestational carrier contract shall be sealed
and are subject to disclosure, release, or inspection only upon application to the court and in
conformity with the applicable requirements of confidentiality applicable to adoptions in the
Children's Code.
