§1746. Definitions
For purposes of this Part, the following terms have the following meanings:
(1) "Board" means the Louisiana State Board of Dentistry, Louisiana State Board of
Nursing, Louisiana State Board of Practical Nurse Examiners, Louisiana Board of
Chiropractic Examiners, or the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners.
(2) "Healthcare provider" means a person licensed by this state to provide health care
or professional services as a physician, dentist, registered or licensed practical nurse, certified
registered nurse, anesthetist, nurse midwife, chiropractor, or podiatrist.
