§10.4. Gambling prohibited
Amusement games operated in compliance with the provisions of R.S.
4:10 through 10.6 shall not be construed to be in violation of R.S. 14:90
provided:
(1) The game is conducted in accordance with the explanation of how
the game is played as posted on the sign required by R.S. 4:10.
(2) No prize shall be displayed which cannot be won, and all prizes that
can be won shall be displayed.
(3) Cash prizes are not awarded and merchandise prizes are not
repurchased.
(4) The game is not operated on a build-up or pyramid basis whereby
a prize must be returned in order to play another game or be returned to be
eligible for a bigger prize, or the requirement that a prize which has been won
be forfeited if the next or additional game is lost.
(5) The cost of playing the game is not more than two dollars and the
value of any prize that can be won is not more than one hundred dollars.
